Accommodation and Facilities at Villa Algeras
Villa Algeras is set high above the sea in
the Mallorcan countryside, on the headland between the bays of
Pollensa and Alcudia. Spectacular views of the sweeping bays and
wooded valleys are some of the best on the island.
Electronic gates off a country lane lead to Algeras’s long
driveway. The villa is wonderfully private and yet just a
four-minute drive away from restaurants and bars, and the
up-market resort of Bon Aire. Equally close are the two lovely
beaches of Mal Pas. Alcudia is five minutes away by car, and
Pollensa is just a 15-minute drive. Villa Algeras is also just a
few minutes’ drive away from an 18-hole golf course.
The villa is built on three levels and is surrounded by peaceful
gardens and grounds. There are lots of lawned areas and pathways
to explore and relax in. There’s a huge pool [12m x 6m]- reached
down a number of steps - with sun terracing all around. There is
also a feature barbecue in this area.
Inside, the villa is extremely spacious with white walls and
terracotta-tiled floors and traditional furniture. Most of the
rooms are on the ground level. There is a large lounge and
dining room with a feature fireplace. There’s satellite
television and a DVD player/CD stereo here too. A huge family
dining-kitchen, with appliances including a dishwasher and a
microwave, has doors leading out onto the patio and covered
terraces.
There are also two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom, with two
full bathrooms. A further double bedroom has excellent views
down to the sea and a beautiful en-suite bathroom with a walk-in
shower.
Upstairs there is a second huge lounge area and another terrace
with panoramic views. There is also a private hallway on this
level with a further double bedroom with a full en-suite
bathroom.
The lower level of the villa opens up on to the extensive
terracing, which runs down to the pool. There is another large
shower bathroom here, as well as an enormous utility and laundry
room. Even from this lower level there are views down to the
sea, particularly from the indoor jacuzzi-style pool - the
jacuzzi is always available in low season, and on other dates on
request.
Villa Algeras is the perfect place from which to appreciate the
natural beauty of north-east Mallorca, in a private, comfortable
and extremely relaxing house and grounds. Beaches, restaurants
and resorts are only a few minutes’ drive away or a good 20
minute hike away.
